Broward Health Coral Springs Brings a New Level of Health Care with the Expansion of its Women’s and Children’s Hospitals
Broward Health is set to expand its services to the community. Renovations will be completed in August 2018 on a $64 million expansion project that will offer four floors of healthcare services to provide greater access to quality, patient-centered care for western Broward County’s growing population. The 110,000-square-foot expansion includes labor and delivery, as well as C-section rooms for expectant mothers on the tower’s first floor, 28 private mother/baby post-partum rooms and a new 10-bed NICU on the second floor, 28 private medical/surgical beds on the third floor and shell space for future clinical services on the fourth floor. The tower will increase Broward Health Coral Springs’ bed capacity from 200 to 250.
As Broward County’s population continues to grow, we are committed to meeting the community’s needs by providing greater access to care and an enhanced patient experience with this expansion. The mission of Tomorrow's Rainbow is to provide educational and emotional support and guidance to grieving children and their families. The Tomorrow’s Rainbow Ranch is the home of the first grief center of its kind to incorporate 2 best practice models of facilitated peer support and the therapeutic use of horses, art and play. In October 2005, Tomorrow’s Rainbow began providing grief support programs, free of charge, to children and their families that had experienced the death of a loved one. Since then, one support group grew to 15 groups for children ages 3 to 18. In addition, Tomorrow's Rainbow offers specialized grief support groups for homeless teens and young adults, a closed/private group for the Marjory Stoneman Douglas community, and 3 grief camps for specialize populations. This much sought after program has received numerous awards recognizing Tomorrow's Rainbow for its excellence as the premier resource for grieving children in our community and receives daily referrals from hospitals, mental health agencies, hospice organizations, schools and word of mouth. Tomorrow's Rainbow is the only stand.
